The Investigation Of The Psychiatric Outpatient's Suicide Ideation, Suicide Attitude, Coping Style

Objective To understand the suicide ideation,suicide attitude in the psychiatric outpatients,and their coping strategies,and the relationship among them ,to provide the clinical guide for the high-risk population.Methods In the the first affiliated hospital of chongqing medical university,one hundred and sixty-nine psychiatric outpatients who were divided into groups of schizophrenia,depression and anxiety disorder ,were evaluated with the Beck scale for suicide ideation(BSS),Suicide Attitude Questionnaire(SAQ)and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),121 patients'results were availble.Result (1) There were no significant differences in suicide attitude and coping style in patients with different sexes and ages.(2)41.32% psychiatric outpatients had suicidal ideation during the past week.It showed no statistical difference in the incidence of suicidal ideation in the patients who were suffered from psychiatric diseases(P>0.05).On the otherwise,there was difference between the incidence of the group of schizophrenia and the group of depression(P<0.05).(3)The scores of F1,F4 dimensions ranged from 2.5-3.5,and scores of F2,F3 were lower than 2.5. The suicide attitude of the population with different psychiatric diseases had significant diffenrence(P<0.01).It showed difference in F1,F4 of suicide attitude between the patients with and without suicidal ideation to different extent.(4) The patients had lower scores in Positive Coping and Negative Coping the nationa1 norms (P<0.01).The patients with schizophrenia had lower scores in Negative Coping than national norms(P<0.01).We found that the different psychiatric diseases had difference in Positive Coping style (P<0.05).It showed difference between patients with schizophrenia and depression in Negative Coping style(P<0.05).(5)There was negative correlation between the positive coping style and F4 in the psychiatric patient(sP<0.01),between the positive coping style and suicide attitude in the patients with anxiety disorders(P<0.01),between the positive coping style and suicide attitude in the group of Schizophrenia(P<0.05,<0.01).There was positive correlation between the positive coping style and suicide attitude(P<0.05),between the negative coping style and suicide attitude(P<0.05).Conclusions1. Different psychiatric diseases impact the suicide attitude. 2. The patients with depression had more sense of identification of suicide behavior,be much easier to have the Suicide ideation and to have a passive way to face the reality,comparing with the patients with schizophrenia.3. The population of psychiatric disease understand the conception of euthanasia better.4. The patients with schizophrenia is less likely to carry out negative ways.5. The better they undterstand the family members of the suicides, the more positive ways the patients with schizophrenia and anxiety disorder carry out.6.The more positive ways the patients with depression carry out,the less suicide behavior they will have.7. We mainly take the clinical evaluation by observation for patients with schizophrenia.In addition for patients with depression and anxiety disorder, it's meaningful to take certain scales to enhance efficiency to assess,which helps the doctors know more about the patients.
