Religion is an important cultural part in Tibetan development course. After entering Tibet, it formed characteristic Tibetan Buddhism through long strife and amalgamation with Bon. Then Tibetan Buddhism affected Tibetan life greatly, such as in social system,religion,taste sentiment,daily appliance,language, raiment,diet and so on. As a realistic art form, film can show audience the true life through authentic seeing and hearing language and absorbing other art peculiarity. As the same as other art forms, film transmits the producer'understandings to society through activities of invent, produce and consumption. It can also play the function of taste perceive, education and entertainment. In modern times, there are frequent worldwide cultural communications. The Tibetan has a particular culture in the world nations. How to protect and inherit national culture is the historical obligation and responsibility of the nation.Due to the status in Tibetan culture, the Tibetan Buddhism must has some contacts with Tibetan films and affect it. There are more than ten Tibetan films in all and have prominent achievement in art. This text introduces certain Tibetan films and the contact between Tibetan Buddhism and Tibetan culture, discusses the cultural significance of Tibetan Buddhism in the Tibetan films, and strive to make Tibetan films art productions which reflect Tibetan special culture,life and adapt to market trial.
