The Study Of Several Problems In Central Plains War

Since the Great Revolution failed in 1927,numerous new warlord cliques appeared promptly in China with continuous flames of civil wars.In February 1928,Kuomintang held two Fourth Plenary Sessions.Four schools of new warlords,namely Chiang Kai-Shek,Feng Yuxiang,Yan Xishan,and the Li Zongren,have obtained "the overall support" on the surface,so that four main cliques generated from this.From March 1929 to November 1930,Jiang successively launched "the Jiang-Gui War","the Jiang-Feng war" and "the Central plain war",which happened among the modern new warlords to compete for the central hegemony.Fundamentally speaking,the start of "the Central plain war" originated from the contradiction among the new warlords in Kuomintang.This kind of contradiction mainly displays in two aspects:the first is the contradiction between Chiang Kai-Shek and various real power factions;the other one is the contradiction within those real power factions.On March 15,1930,the Central plain war opened officially.Because Zhang Xueliang entered the national pass to support Jiang,the Central plain war ended up with Chiang Kai-Shek's victory.As to Chiang Kai-Shek,the reasons are: Politically,raise the "the unification" slogan and diddle people' s credits;militarily,apply different strategies according to different situations in the enemy' s side;economically,prepare plentiful belongings and supply freely.As to the counter-Jiang alliance aspect,the reasons of failure are:Have a strong lineup,but with different strengths;the foundation of Yan-Feng alliance is not firm;the economic basis is weak; the alliance which was organized by "Xishan conference clique" and "reorganization clique" is the mixture,full of various ambitious bureaucrats and politicians..Although "the Central plain war" concluded with Chiang Kai-Shek' s victory,the huge injury brought to the people increased after the war on the contrary.This is worth our rethink.
