The Study Of Personality And Self-esteem Among College Students In Rural Areas Of Dong

The purpose of this study is to make a research on the personality and self-esteem of groups of college students in rural areas of Dong as well as the relationship between their personal situation and self-esteem in order to accumulate useful information which can truly reflect the character of Chinese people and lay the foundation for enriching and developing of personality theory with Chinese characteristics, strengthening the cultures and communication between national minorities, and enhancing the quality of personality of the national society as a whole.On the basis of the detailed overview of personality and self-esteem as well as its study progress, this paper adopts the Chinese character scale and the Self-Esteem Scale made by Rosenberg, makes an in-depth discussion on personality and self-esteem of 199 college students from rural areas of Dong. The conclusions as follows:Firstly, personality of college students from rural areas of Dong has the existence of differences in gender, grade and subject categories, etc. But there is no difference between the students from pure Dong residence and students from areas inhabited by several minority nationalities. Differences exist in the character of students of the Dong and the norm of Chinese personality scale in a number of factors in the personality structure.Secondly, the self-esteem of college students from rural areas of Dong has no difference in gender, grade, subject and geographic, etc. The vast majority of them perform high self-esteem.Thirdly, "human relations" of Chinese character has a significant role in the forecast of the self-esteem of college students from rural areas of Dong. "Being kind" and "the attitude of life" has an important influence on the forecast of Dong's students from rural areas inhabited by several minority nationalities. "The attitude of life", "being outward" and "interpersonal relationships", "being kind" have great importance in the forecast of Dong' s graduates, students of liberal arts, students of science from rural areas inhabited by several minority nationalities relatively.
