Objective:This study was to develop Questionnaire of Personal Meaning in the Middle School Student,to explore the Stucture of PM in the middle school student.Methods: Rased on overviews of former researchers,the theoreticalhypothesis was constructed.After investigating 119 middle school students together with experts' opinion and research works in the field,the coarse questionnaire has been formed;with which middle school students were investigated,the result is the formation of the preliminary questionnaire;The exploring factor analysis has been done with investigating middle school students,the result is the formed of the formal questionnaire, reliability and availability of this questionnaire is reviewed and validated throught kinds of method such as Confirmatory Factor Anlysis.Results: This questionnaire included 8 dimensions: live attitude,self-determination,common relationship,goal pursuit and future expection,intimacy, economic condition, life attitude,eldership relation, and contributory proportion of these factors is 50.716% accumulately. the interior homogeneity reliability of this questionnaire is 0.910,and homogeneity reliability of these eight dimensions is 0.800, 0.767, 0.736, 0.753,0.742,0.596,0.749,0.549,the test-retest reliability of the whole questionnaire was 0.860. The correlation between the score of this questionnaire and the questionnaire of personal meaning in teen-agers was .455(p<.001),the correlation between the score of this questionnaire and the Index of Welfare was .343-.442(p<.001),so the criterion-related validity of the questionnaire was good.Conclusion: the validity and reliability of this questionnaire is perfect.It' s a good tool to estimate the life meaning of middle school student.
