The Review Of Ai Wei's Novel

The rivers of the South Yangzi are clear and transparent; the mountains of south are beautiful and intelligent, and the authors of south are sensitive and exquisite. As an author of south, Ai Wei has attracted more and more attention by his profound concern about the human nature and his light artistic feature. Taking a wide view of all of Ai Wei's published novels till now and his other literarsy works, it can be said, he purses the"profundity"which is mainly displayed as a tragic insight into the"human's intrinsic predicament and darkness"all the time. The author's insight into the gloom condition of human nature in history and real life endows literature a kind of power, shocking the human nature and soul, and also communicates with ancient and foreign literary works in term of the essential spirit of literature.This thesis consists of two parts. The first part mainly begins with themes of Ai Wei's works and connects systematically the humanistic exploration in his novels and other literary creation systems from the perspective of humanistic exploration. Through the analysis of Ai Wei's works of different themes, this part reveals the demonstration and distortion of human nature under different symbolic background and explores the author's concern about human nature, and then integrates the implication of tragic themes in his works. This thesis analyzes the meaning of subjects from the spiritual tendency of characters in Ai Wei's works and expresses the author's concern about themes. The spiritual tendency of characters in Ai Wei's works often implicates his pessimistic theme tendency. Facing the spiritual predicament, the characters in his works always choose to escape displaying as fleeing or suicide in term of form. On my opinion, it seems that the author also cannot find the final spirit exit but only incise the spiritual chain of human nature. Or, more exactly, for the author, the ending of the works or characters seems to be only a way of escape.The literary artistic feature of Ai Wei lies in the light gauze outside the serious theme not the hard shell. Wang Zheng, a famous literary critic, praises Ai Wei as a light poet, which mainly summarizes Ai Wei's artistic pursuit. Using for reference from Wang Zheng's idea, this thesis studies Ai Wei's artistic exploration through the detailed text analysis and grasps as a whole the artistic feature of his literary creation.In view of the author's artistic feature, the second part analyzes Ai Wei's aesthetic style from the perspective of literary view, artistic form, imagination and artistic features. Through the closing reading and analysis of the text, this thesis finds that the author pries into the"seriousness"of human nature from the"lightness"of perspective; reveals the absurdity of human existence by the allegorized writhing and highlights Ai Wei's idiosyncratic artistic feature by the light and elegant imagination.
