The problem that taking up an occupation is difficult becomes a social problem at present, and causes high value of the party and the nation. In addition to the medical educational background has a higher request, so the employment of medical students is more depressed. From the employment seeing the problem, the key is the quantity of developing medical students, and now developing what kind of medical students and how to develop overall quality of the medical students is a root of one medical college, so a lot of school lead to the career planning actively. But the career planning education belongs to just start in the domestic, a lot of problems are discovered, such as students are disjointed in applying ego position, and become formalistic in programming implementation. So how to work well the career planning education becomes the key to develop medical students' characterment.The achievement motivation is to push the individual to pursue,complete the most important and worthy work of you think, and is a inside power tries to attain to a kind of ideal situation. The achievement motivation affects the individual to see the viewpoint of the thing and later take of action, but it has the important influence that the university students performance career planning or not? This article from the angle of the psychology further researches the characteristics of the achievement motivation and the career planning and understands the relation between achievement motivation and career planning.First,this thesis summarizes the theories standpoint and the substantial researches of the domestic and international about achievement motivation and career planning, and on this foundation, applies the Achievement Motivation Scale and the career planning questionnaire of college student (Fashang Zhan,2006) to research 220 medical students' achievement motivation and the career planning. Analysis the achievement motivation,the characteristics of career planning in medical students and both of relation with the received data and the former theories standpoint, and the main conclusion is as follows:1,From total to see, the medical students pursue the successful level obviously is higherthan avoid failing motive on the achievement motivation. 2,The overall level of achievement motivation has no difference in sex,only one children or not,urban or rural areas,academic performance and different grades; However, the male medical students have higher motivation pursuing succeed than female medical students; the medical students of upper academic performance have higher motivation pursuing succeed than the medical students of middle and lower academic performance: the motive to avoid failure has no difference in sex,only one children or not,urban or rural areas,academic performance and different grades.3,In the career planning of medical students, the self-advancing level shows higher than career exploring,self-cognition,feedback,human relationship,goal and plan five dimensions, the career exploring level is higher than human relationship,goal and plan.4,The overall level of career planning in the medical freshman is higher than the five grade medical students, the overall level of career planning has no difference in sex,only one children or not,urban or rural areas,academic performance, but the career planning level of male medical students from country is higher than the female medical students; the medical freshman is higher than five grade medical students in self-cognition,goal and plan level; the male than female medical students focus more on interpersonal relationships, the medical students from country than from urban focused more on self-advancing, the medical students of upper academic performance in self-advancing level is higher than the medical students of middle and lower academic performance.5,The achievement motivation and the career planning of medical students is a positive correlation, that is, the level of medical generate higher on the motivation, the higher the level of career planning; the overall level of motivation of medical students is positively correlated with career planning and career exploring, goal and plans, self-advancing, human relationship four-dimensional level: The motivation of pursuing success is positively correlated with career planning and its six dimensions; the motivation of avoiding failure and the level of self-advancing is a negative correlation dimension.6,The pursuing success motivation of medical students can predict the overall level of career planning and the five dimensions level of career exploring,self-cognition,goal and plan,human relationship,feedback; But the level of self-advancing can be forecasted by the overall level of achievement motivation and the motive of avoiding failure, and the overall level of achievement motivation can be more effectively predict their level of self-advancing than the motive to avoid failure.7,the male and female sex of medical students has the regulating role on career planning and career exploring, human relationship dimension with the return of the motivation to pursuing success, and the regulating role of boys is higher than girls; However, in the return of self-cognition,goal and plan,feedback with the motivation to succeed, the boys have a regulatory role and girls do not; in the return of self-advancing and pursuit success, the girls have a regulatory role, the boys do not; in the return self-advancing and the overall level of, achievement motivation, the boys have a regulatory role, girls do not.8,only-child and non-only child in medical students have regulatory role on career planning and the return of career exploration,self-cognition,human relationship dimension and pursuit success and the regulating role of the one-child is higher than non-only-child; However, in the return of goal and plan,self-advancing and pursuit success, non-only child have a regulatory role, only child do not; In the return of self-advancing and the overall level of achievement motivation, the regulating role of only child is higher than non-only-child.9,The medical students of urban and rural areas have regulatory role on career planning and the return of career exploration,goal and plan,human relationship dimension and pursuit success, and the regulating role of the city is higher than country; However, in the return of self-cognition and pursuit success, city have a regulatory role, country do not; In the return of self-advancing and the overall level of achievement motivation, the regulating role of country is higher than city.
