Anxiety is a respond tendency which similar as misgiving. This respond tendency produced when a person felt current or anticipate threat to self-esteem. Test anxiety is an emotional reaction caused by some test situation, it could promote or obstruct the test result. Explicit self-esteem is the emotional response induced by individuals'conscious and positive self-evaluation; Implicit self-esteem is the introspectively unidentified (or inaccurately identified) effect of the self-attitude on evaluation of self-associated and self-dissociated objects. In this research, questionnaire and experimentation method were applied to explore the relationship among test anxiety level and explicit, implicit self-esteem. First, selecting the test anxiety group and normal group by questionnaire method; second, measuring their explicit self-esteem by self-esteem scale; meanwhile, examing their implicit self-esteem by implicit association test. The results show that:1. Students with high level of test anxiety as well as low level of test anxiety had the significant implicit self-esteem effect. They tend to relate positive things or evaluation to theirselves.2. The self-esteem structure characteristics of students with high level of test anxiety show that their implicit self-esteem and explicit self-esteem were two relatively dependent self-evaluation systems, the implicit self-esteem level was higher than explicit self-esteem level; The self-esteem structure characteristics of students with low level of test anxiety show that their implicit self-esteem and explicit self-esteem were two relatively dependent self-evaluation systems, the explicit self-esteem level was higher than implicit self-esteem level.3. The explicit self-esteem level of test anxiety group was significantly lower than the normal group; but there was not significant difference between the levels of explicit and implicit self-esteem.To explore the relationship between implicit self-esteem and anxiety, we measure the subjects'non-verbal anxiety through indirect method in the third study and compared self-reported anxiety with non-verbal anxiety of students with different level of explicit and implicit self-esteem.The results show that:1. The students'self-reported anxiety was significantly negatively related to explicit self-esteem, but had no relation with implicit self-esteem; The students'non-verbal anxiety was negatively related to implicit self-esteem, but had no relation with explicit self-esteem. The result shows that implicit self-esteem and non-verbal anxiety has close relation, and explicit self-esteem and self-reported anxiety has close relation.2. The level of self-reported anxiety of students with low level of explicit self-esteem was significantly higher than students with high level of explicit self-esteem, but they had the same level of non-verbal anxiety.3. The level of non-verbal anxiety of students with low level of implicit self-esteem was significantly higher than students with high level of implicit self-esteem, but they had the same level of self-reported anxiety.
