Impression management is not a swindle, for the actor may be unconscious when he proceeds impression management. And it is affected by these factors such as demography, personality, self-esteem and situations and so on.Self-esteem, an emotional evaluation and attitude experience towards oneself, influences personal impression management. In past researches, researchers noticed the relation between self-esteem and impression management. However, self-esteem has two forms of expression——explicit self-esteem and implicit Self-esteem. What is the relation between each form of expression and impression management separately? Are they equally related on their influencing impression management ? And how to cultivate these two forms of expression of self-esteem to improve impression management and harmonize college students'interpersonal relationship and social skills? This paper is expected to solve all these problems.The objects of research are sophomores and seniors of undergraduate students in Henan University. And the research applies the methods combining Questionnaire and Implicit Association Test and uses statistical software SPSS.13.0 to analyze data, including descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and hypothesis testing .
