Feminist Consciousness In The Films Adapted From Zhang Ailing's Novels

In the modern literary history of China,Zhang Ailing unveiled the dark side of the female life,which also uncovered the existence situation of females.She dwelt on human sadness and exposed the life experience from the point of the view of Shanghainese under the perspective of women. As the core of female literature, the potential feminist consciousness can easily be saw in ZhangAiling's novels which reveals the predicament of female survival in the mainstream culture. As ZhangAiling's novels resurfaced in the early 1980's, her novels have been gradually adapted into movies since 1990.As one of the representitives of popular culture ,box-office success reflect the existence situation of feminist consciousness in ZhangAiling's novels.Just based on the vediot-text of adaptaion by means of comparison,this article analyses the different cutural attitudes to ZhangAiling's female literature in the movies which has been adapted by female director,homosexual director and male director to find out the cultural and ideological context that created by different sexes.
