Li Jieren is an important writer in the history of modern Chinese Literature. In all of his works, Li Jieren's novel Trilogy ,including,,,is the most important.In the trilogy, Li narrated the process of some major historical events .The story in Li's trilogy happened in 1894 to 1911, which is the most turbulent period in Chinese history. This is reflected by the vicissitude of Chinese political pattern and Ethical concepts. So, Li's trilogy has a great value not only in Literature but also in Ethics.This paper analyzed the Ethical thoughts of Li's trilogy by ways of Literature Ethical Criticism. Li's trilogy embodied the vicissitude process of Sichuan society's Ethical concepts by grand chapters. First, the trilogy recorded that the concept of"discriminating against foreign"was eliminated from material life to spiritual world in Sichuan society. Second, the trilogy described the evolution of Sichuan's traditional Ethical custom in few decades. Moreover, in the trilogy, Li also described the course of women's Liberation, including the abolition of foot binding, the change of women's concept of marriage.Li had a unique tendency when he was making moral judgments on people in his novel. First, he criticized the feudal class and some extreme egoists in his novel. Second, when making moral judgments, he had different tendency between men and women. This paper also analyzed Li's female conception and his conception of marriage and family.
