Chu artistic decorations exibit their yearning for liberty and passion for life, who portrayed various distinctive artistic image in mystical and romantic form. The unique artistic wisdom and supernormal imaginations are attributed to their optimism ,love for live , unremitting pursuits for Unpredictable world and spiritual realm.They created splendid and gorgeous artistic forms which is an combination of their wisdom , national sentiment ,mystical belief.By researching on the graphics decorations of Chu arts, this article explored the unknown Observative characteristics' and artistic feelings, aiming at expand our concept of traditional Chinese art and enhance our understandings of Chinese artistic spirit. The abstract forms, gorgeous colours,and dynamic patterns largely enriched the esthetic sentiment.The moldings always reflected abstract sense which was exclusive in modern art. Phantom and real appearance ,abstract and concrete technique are constantly mixed together which was the most prominent characteristics of this art . The way to break the real world,decompose specific objects and reconstruct new artis tic figures and spaces for aesthetic appreciation is an artistic expression method, by which the created artistic forms, space, atmosphere, scale and style are beyond all expa ctaitons and splendid.There are still many problems in the Chinese contemporary art design, such as the lack of creativity, which is a very important factor. Designers acquire inadequate cultural awareness and understanding. They blindly follow the foreign design styles while ignore the value of national art and culture. The paper manifested the brilliant art created by Chu people by the analysis and study of Artistic drawings and decorations of the Chu State whose creative ideas and methods are worthy of being studied and learned from by modern design. Therefore, much importance shall be attached to the study of the national and traditional culture for the education of modern design talents, carrying forward the pioneering and indomitable national spirits and the cultural traditions of diversification, openness and inclusiveness of displayed in the art of Chu State. This paper advocated the return to the tradition to find the harmony of people and the harmony between man and nature and to pursue the modern art of life.
