Modern Uyghur Marital Change Research

Before 1949, The Uyghur marriage not only suffers from the restraint of feudalism and feudalistic idea, but also to a great extent receives the influence of Islam religion. Religious interference in Uyghur marriage is a common phenomenon. In addition, the influence of traditional culture and traditional custom in its marriage is also very deep. After new China is established, go with the transformation of politic, economic system and the change of socio- cultural elements in Xinjiang society, many unprecedented changes have been appeared in the Uyghur community. Its marital change is also one of them.The thesis mainly aims at making a thorough discussion on marital change in contemporary Uyghur .The full text divides four parts: First part,"The change situation of Uyghur marriage from 1949 to 1978", Mainly take the socialist system and the implementation of《Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China》in 20th century 50's as basic points, Elaborated the change in Uyghur marital system, the Islamic marriage ceremony and Islamic divorce way as well as the Uyghur marital idea in this period. Second part,"The incompleteness of marital change from1949 to 1978 years and the analysis of its reason",Elaborated the marital change in this period, Meanwhile, from the law, economy, culture, traditional custom and traditional concepts etc aspects , made a discussion on the reasons which is caused the incompleteness of Uyghur marital change in this time.Third part,"The change of Uyghur marriage from 1979 to now", Mainly associated each kind of social elements such as ;The development of Uyghur national economy which is appeared After reform and open policy , the further consummation and strict execution of 80's new《Marriage law》, the gradual enhancement of people cultural level as well as the unceasing renewal of their ideological concepts, the mutual adaption and mutual influence of various culture with the change situation in Uyghur marriage, Thus elaborated the new changes in Uyghur marriage process, marriage system, marital idea, marital form etc.The fourth part,"the conclusion", briefly made an summary to the marital change of modern Uyghur, At the same time briefly sum up the characteristics and trends in the change of modern Uyghur marriage .
