Xue Weimin is one of the most important poet of children's poem in Chinese contemporary poem field,who has gained much achievement. Many of his masterpieces which are popular with children has been published in the national Chinese testbooks. However, critics do not put enough emphasis on his works and few studies have been done on them. Based on his children's poem, children's folk rhymes and adult poetry, the paper will elaborate the content, subject-matter, thought and artistic quality of his poetry and restore a good poet's creative style and artistic value.Ingenuousness is the enternal topic in the children's literature works.Focusing on ingenuousness of chindren and its appearance in various aspects,Xue Weimin elaborates the subject from childhood, the delight of children and their innocence.He also thinks that the ingenuousness not only can exists in the in children's heart,but also in the memory of adults.Meanwhile, the description of children's growth can also be found in his poetry. The poet has explored the footprint of an individual growth by children's folk rhymes which is shown in the folk rhymes of the small children and the poems of the young .In addition, philosophic thought can be found in the Xue Weimin works from the beginning to the end. Either in the adult or children's poetry,this kind of thought is his unchanged pursuit ,which also made his poems become so profoundly .Look through Xue Weimin's works of poetry, he still insists his own characteristics in creating aspect , either in the imagery and language or in the style which is demonstrated his artistic pursuit. As a result of all these points, Xue Weimin has showed the different artistic world in his poetry.
