A Study On Lu Yanshao's Way Of Using Brush

By analyzing Lu YanShao's landscape painting created in three stages of his life,the author interpeated the distinctive characters of the tree,the rock,the mountain and water, the interspersion and the signature in Lu's painting.Then,the author summed that Lu's way of using brush(Chinese writing brush) was flexible in comparison with comtermperary artists.Besides,by comparing his painting with his calligraphy,it was concluded that although Chinese painting and calligraphy are the same in origin,they two hold different dicipline and manner.The study on Lu's way of using brush helps us to understand better the envolvment of the creative stroke and ink in Chinese painting,and then point out direction for the development of Chinese painting in future.
