To Analyze The Formation Factors Of Aesthetic Modernity

Schiller is a German classical Aesthetic theorist living in the last decades of 18th century and the early 19th century,but his aesthetic ideas are related to some problems of aesthetic modernity.In the book "On Schiller's ", Habermas said that Schiller's "Aesthetic Education Letters" is the first programmatic document on modern aesthetic criticism.With the affirmation of the Schiller's Aesthetic modernity thoughts,another problem is highlighted:why is not anyone else but Schiller who proposed the issue of aesthetic modernity earlier,or in other words, what are the factors that impel Schiller's aesthetic thoughts to touch the pulse of the times.The thesis will analyze the social environment and the theoretical background, the formation reasons for Schiller's aesthetic modernity,from two aspects,that is,the social factors and the theoretical factors,and study the dynamic factors which urgent Schiller to pay close attention to and to reflect on the reality from three aspects:writers' identity,cultural perspective and sociological methods.The social factor is the premise of the emergence of aesthetic modernity thoughts. Schiller lived in the primary stage of modernization,the period which give birth to some special factors,such as the development of capitalism,the tendency towards social modernization,the Enlightenment and the Great French Revolution,impelling Schiller to think and rethink closely about the whole society.This paper comment the issue based on the observation of such a perspective,that is,to find the external factors leading to the emergence of Schiller's aesthetic modernity thoughts from the mutation of social development model and social interpretation model.As to the theoretical factor,the paper elaborates the rationalism,the empiricism and Kant's main philosophical thoughts one by one,to expound the theoretical premise of Schiller's thoughts necessarily and sufficiently,and on the other hand describe the formation process of Schiller's aesthetic modernity thoughts on the sublation of academic achievements of the predecessors.Finally,such factors as writers' identity,cultural perspective and sociological methods highlight the factors themselves as a basis of Schiller's aesthetic which determines that Schiller's aesthetics will have more realistic concerns for the realistic spirits and more potential capacity for developing into Aesthetic modernity thoughts.Accompanied by the in-depth study of various factors of Schiller's Aesthetic modernity thoughts,on one hand,we can deepen our understandings of Schiller's aesthetic thoughts,on the other hand,we can also take Schiller for the stronghold to observe the basic characteristics and formation process of the aesthetic modernity in early period.In addition,the concern for aesthetic modernity is an important contribution by Schiller's aesthetics.By searching for and exploring on the reasons for the aesthetic modernity,I believe that the status of Schiller's aesthetics will no longer be just targeted as the point which bridges the gap between Kant and Hegel,Instead,it is the perfect embodiment of German Classical Aesthetics modernity.
