Research About The Palace Architecture In The Middle Capital Of Bohai State In Jilin Province

Architecture is an important part of human culture. Buildings of different region and nation is very closely related to the social conditions and economic basis at the contemporary time. And the form of building is influenced by the natural conditions, men's ideas and the religions and legal system. Palace is the most important architectural type in ancient Chinese architectural system. Imperial power is the central part of Centralism which has fully developed during the long period of the Chinese feudal society. Palace fully reflects the feudal idea of ancient China and is the symbol of the highest level of traditional Chinese architectural art.Bohai state has been regarded as great power, then, what is the relation between the palace architecture of Bohai State and the culture of Tang Dynasty which was the source of mainstream culture of Bohai state while its forming, developing and improving during that time. Which part affected the characteristics of palace more? What is the exact structure of the palace? Started with the history of Bohai State, this article.included five chapters analyzed the constitution of palaces in middle capital of Bohai State, the relationship between the Bohai architecture and culture of Tang Dynasty and made the presumption of restoration of the palaces.The first chapter of this article was Introduction which included the goal, meaning, current conditions, basic ideas and methods of research.The second the natural environmental conditions of the region, mainly about of the object the geographical environment, weather and hydrological conditions, etc.The third chapter focused on the city layout of the Middle Capital of Bohai State. To find out the constructing system and ideas of capital by analyzed the pattern of city layout and forming method then compared them with that of the capital of Tang Dynasty at that time. The forth chapter was about the characteristics of the palaces and discuss the studies of palaces one by one, then analyzed the information gained from the actual measurement, after that, based on the result made the plane restoration of each column networks.The last chapter was the study of architectural scale, structure and form of the palace. Firstly, analyzed the yingzhaochi (a measuring tool) and the cai (a measuring unit) used in Tang Dynasty. Secondly, studied the structure of distinctive building bringing forward the assumption of conditions of building sites, wooden frames and roof structures, etc, and used the illustrations and material objects of Tang Dynasty as the proof to work out the proper conclusion. Lastly, finish the restoration drawings based on the conclusion.
