The Problem Of Refugee During The Anti-Japanese War: From The Perspective Of Xinhua Daily

As the official newspaper of CPC,Xinhua Daily was a unique newspaper issued openly in the Kuomintang's district.Xinhua Daily's report reflected the CPC's position and proposition.In order to give the people a general picture of the refugee problems during the anti-Japanese war,this paper investigates the CPC's critiques and propositions towards the refugee problems during the anti-Japanese war by using Xinhua Daily and other related reports and critiques so that people could get an objective and fair recognition of the policies and measures held by the national government.This thesis has three parts altogether.The introduction part provides a brief overview of Xinhua Daily and the present researches on the refugee problem.This part also introduces the research method of this thesis and its significance history sources.The body part is composed of four parts.Part one introduces the overview of Xinhua Daily and its characteristics.Part two reviews the refugee problems viewed by the Xinhua Daily during the anti-Japanese war,which includes the cause,age group,profession,categories,the flowing direction of the refugees and the CPC's cognition of this problem.The third part describes the various miserable lives the refugees are living in and the main reasons for such situation by using materials taken from Xinhua Daily.Part four analyzes the CPC's cognition and propositions of relief policies issued by the national government.The conclusion part summarizes the main findings of this research and some other related future research issues are put forward.
