Look At Yanjing And The Surrounding Areas People's Lives From Liao And Song Between War And Peace

Yanjing had been always the town of military office in the north of dynasties of central plains before Liao Dynasty;it has a long history of development and it is an important military fortress and area of agricultural economy in the north.King of Later Jin Dynasty,Shi Jingtang,ceded Sixteen Prefectures to Liao Dynasty at the period of Five Dynasties of Central Plains that made Yanjing area firstly out of the control of Central Plains Dynasty.Northern Song Dynasty had been always wanting to recapture Yanyuan area where was old place of Han and Tang Dynasty after its establishment.Emperor Taizong of Song started Gao Lianghe war and Yongxi battle with his nation's power and Emperor Shengzong of Liao continually invaded and attacked the territory of Song Dynasty that made the state of hostile war between Liao and Song Dynasty last for 25 years. War flames with frequent smoke and repeating fight of revenge couldn't break the glued state.Song Dynasty didn't achieve the goal that it got the imperium of Yanjing area via military forces and Liao Dynasty couldn't invade the territory of Song Dynasty.However,the war factors made social economy of Yanjing area and its surroundings extremely decline and depress and the war factors brought serious and long-term unbeneficial influence on the messes who lived in this region.Yanjing area didn't complete the war lasting for 25 years until the year of 1004 when Liao and Song Dynasty reached Shanyuan Treaty;both of them entered the peaceful stage; during the period of the following 120 years,Liao and Song Dynasty kept friendly intercourse;the regional economy and culture got a unprecedented development that made the people who lived in Yanjin area and its surroundings out of the haze of war and their life improved steadily.This thesis further describes the big and small battles started by Liao and Song Dynasty in order to obtain and protect this region and the process of reaching peaceful coexisting and friendly exchange in order to comply with the historical trend by analyzing the importance of Yanjin and its surroundings on the nature and military geographic position and their different goals and measures adopted by them in order to obtain and protect this region.Then this thesis is tried to compare the social and economic development developing in the war and peace period with the people's live; it is tried to explore and explain the disaster of war and its influence on the people's live;meanwhile,it applies well that peace and stabilization is the preconditions for the development of social economy and culture;it is the favorable safety and security for people living and working in peace and contentment;and it is in accordance with the people's fundamental interests and fine desire.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first part:it is generally divided into three aspects to analyze the overview of physical geography and military strategy of Yanjing area.(1) Development venation of history.(2) Overview of physical geography.It will introduce the superior geographical environment in this area and this area is an important production base of agriculture.(3) Position of military strategy.The importance of the position of military strategy of Yanjing area on Liao and Song dynasty;they obtained and protected this region out of different goals.The second part:it concentrates on describing the peace and war of Liao and Song dynasty centering on Yanjing and its surroundings.During the period from which Liao and Song Dynasty firstly reached a friendly harmony at the period of Emperor Taizong of Song to Shanyuan Treaty in 1004,Gao Lianghe war and Yongxi battle started by Song Dynasty and the battles started by Liao Dynasty to Song Dynasty summarizes the main process of Liao and Song Dynasty's peace and war.The third part:it analyzes the influence of Liao and Song Dynasty's war on people's lives.It gives examples about the states,such as people's living environment during war period,infrastructure,and loss of farmland and so on;and the recovery and development of economy,exchange and promotion of culture in peaceful time and so on;it reflects the different influence caused by war and peace on the people's production and life by analysis and comparison.The fourth part:it primarily summarizes the danger and lesson of ear.This thesis holds the view that the security and stabilization of a country doesn't lie in whether it has substantial vital area;war isn't the effective method to make a country strong either;constructing peaceful and stable social environment is the precondition and favorable safety and security for the development of social economy,culture and the improvement of comprehensive national strength and people living happily; constructing peaceful and stable social environment is in accordance with the people's fundamental interests and fine desire.Peace and development is the permanent theme of human beings' civilization.
