In the history of China and our modern life, there exist some non-governmental organizations whose guiding ideology is one of religious groups or filiations and whose organizations simulate folk guild or religious sect and whose permeation depends on folk belief, patriarchal clan system and physical exercise. Those kinds of organizations with distinct religious implication, essentially different from traditional religion are called by this paper the resembling religious groups or the resembling religious forces.Whether in history or in our modern society, those resembling religious groups are likely to become evil-cult in their evolvement which will damage society and people's livelihood. But in their beginning, they are those comparatively neutral folk groups and not yet develop extremely. At present, no specific policies and rules support the management of those kinds of groups which may cause inconvenience in managing those kinds of groups for the related departments. Therefore, this paper does research on the modern folk resembling religious groups and probes into their features and evolutions and hopes to supplement the research on the phenomenon of resembling religious culture, folk society, folk groups and even the problems of evil-cult. This paper is divided into four parts: the first includes the status of modern folk resembling religious groups. The second analyzes the features of the modern folk resembling religious groups from organizational forms, numerous and jumbled theories. These are the weak power and defects of theoretical methods and the flexibility of organizing methods of those kinds of group, but also the changing of the resembling religious groups into evil-cult. We should put sufficient emphasis on it. The third tries to sum up the law of evolution of the modern resembling religious groups and provides theoretical analysis of preventing this kind of groups changing into evil-cult. The last draws some conclusions on the kind of groups through the analysis of features and evolution. This paper thinks that we should put and emphasis on those kinds of groups as a potential social influence because they will cause negative effect on our society once they are confrontational and we should avoid the side effect of ideology caused by those groups. This paper puts forward four suggestions on discussing how to manage those groups under the rule of law: the first is to induce those groups to traditional religion under the rule of law, abate their complicated identity of new religions or the resembling religious groups, the second is to regulate groups of Wushu and Qigong and make them realize their identity and prevent them changing into religious groups, the third is to strengthen the support and lead of the formal religious groups and build up their attraction to the mass and their radiation of the culture in order to make the mass with religious need have formal religious groups, the forth is to pay attention to the cultural life of floating population to prevent the emergence of folk groups as the floating population. |
