The psychological health status was measured with the Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90), and analyzed by SPSS11.5 . Unintentional injuries patterns were investigated with questionnaire signed by author in selected universities. General characteristics of students and their parents were investigated with questionnaires of general status for university students designed by author, including parents' occupation, education, income per month etc. Descriptive statistics was used to describe the epidemiological characteristics of unintentional injury. T-test, ANOVA and Chi-square test were used to compare the difference between group, for numeric and categorical variables, respectively. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis method was conducted to explore the risk factors of Unintentional injuries occurred among university students. Results: (1) The total injury incidence rate was 57.6%. The injury incidence rates were higher for female students (62.4%) than male students (54.0%), for grade 4(65.2%) than grade2 (50.2%), for the Han nationality (59.2%) than Meng (57.9%) and other nations' injury incidence rate (33.3%). The incidence rate of injury has no significance difference between different ages (p>0.05).It was the top at age of 23. Except the factor of hostility, the scores of other factors were higher for senior high school students than junior high school (P<0.01); except the factor of horror, the scores of other factors were higher for injured students than uninjured (P<0.01). (2) The total positive rate of the psychological problems of the subjects is 5% among university students. The positive rate of psychiatric symptoms has no significance difference between sexes, grades, and nationalities. Of all the psychiatric symptoms, the top positive rate was crankiness (1%), following in decreasing order were hostility (0.7%), obsessive-compulsive (0.3%), inter-personal sensitivity(0.3%), horror(0.3%). The scores of psychiatric symptoms are lower than normal level of China.
