This research aims at learning about the healthy psychological status of western China ethnic minority university female students and its causes . This paper is also a probe into the measures for the healthy psychological status of western China ethnic minority university female students on the basis of questionnaires from 1255 ethnic minority university female students. The research indicates :1.Generally speaking, there is not much difference between the healthy psychological status of the male and that of female ethnic minority university students. Compared with ethnic minority university male students, the females ones have better adaptation abilities to learning and interpersonal relationships, at the same time they can adopt more proper attitudes to love and choice of profession. But their self-consciousness and their creativity are inferior to male ones'.2.There is distinguished psychological status difference between ethnic minority university female students and the Han nationality university female students. The healthy psychological status of the Han nationality university female students is superior to that of ethnic minority university ones, especially on their choice of profession, creativity and interpersonal relationships.3.There is not marked psychological status difference between singleton ones and non- singleton ethnic minority university female students. But on interpersonal relationships the behaviour of singleton ones is better than that of non- singleton ones.4.The psychological status of ethnic minority university female students from rural areas is better than the ones'from urban areas especially on the attitudes to love and adaptation abilities to learning.5.In different grades, their psychological status difference is great especially on the attitudes to love, the adaptation abilities to interpersonal relationships and the behaviour on choice of profession. Their psychological status changes worse with their grade's change.6.There is not distinguished psychological status difference among ethnic minority university female students majored in different subjects . But on the adaptation abilities to learning, interpersonal relationships and the attitudes to love, the psychological status of the students majored in arts is better than the status of the ones majored in science .The situation of the students majored in engineering is the worst.
