After the Second World War the Great Powers went to antagonism. Though the United Kingdom belonging to the west camp, be in the respect of relaxing international tension, avoiding both sides happening confronting each other for directly. So say, Britain has been to keep one important main force of World War within limits, have brought the important effect into play in postwar international relations.The article contain six parts, be included foreword, text and concluding remarks. The preface states the current studying situation, origin and purpose. The first chapter introduce the British reaction in the initial stage of the Korean War. United Kingdom supports United Nations's resolution about Korean problem, but opposes USA armed intervention Taiwan. The Britain is unwilling to dispatch the land armed force to Korea and to seek the approach settling a problem peacefully actively. The second chapter, take if UN forces cross 38th Parallel as clue, discuss British endeavour to avoid the expanding of the Korean War, including non-military buffer zone plan, restain actively Sino-US conflict. The third chapter, states the United Kingdom controls the danger to use the atomic weapon in Korea. Britain corresponds in the divergency of the United States and England. Fourth chapter, main investigation and discussion the British behaviours in the entire process of the Korean armistice negotiations . From opening the armistice negotiations door to pushing forward peace negotiations process until solving the problem of prisoners of war, United Kingdom are assiduous for this purpose and never tired assiduously.Concluding remarks, reaches the United Kingdom origin in fundamental policy and one policy deciding this in Korean War. United Kingdom has brought the certain positive role, but the strength coming down into play in Korean War, feasible United Kingdom can only pursue the mild constraint policy on diplomacy.
