Discussion On The "Shenyue And The Change Of Poetic Style In Qi And Liang Dynasties"

In previous study, many scholars stressed that Shen Yue's achievements on rhyme theory and his influence on organizational system of regulated verse in Tang dynasty, but they seldom explored the reasons of causing this influence, what's more, they did not discuss fully Shen Yue's special role of connecting link on the change of poetic style in Qi and Liang dynasties. Based on a large of historical data and Shen Yue's literary creation, the author clarifies carefully the clue in the development of poetry of Qi and Liang dynasties and gets a conclusion that Shen Yue played a key and indispensable role in the process of changing on poetry from Qi and Liang dynasties to Tang dynasty.This thesis, from three aspects, tries to discuss Shen Yue's important contribution to historical evolution process which poetry developed from〝poetic style in Yuanjia period〞to〝poetry in Tang dynasty〞through〝poetry in Qi and Liang dynasties〞.Firstly, Shen Yue deserves adequate affirmation on literary leader in Qi and Liang dynasties from the perspectives of his political status and influence. As an evergreen tree in the field of politics, his generous theoretical contribution and his modest like previous scholars established his status as leading scholar in literary world. His behavior of rewarding talents actively set up an excellent creation staff for rapid development of poetry in Qi and Liang dynasties. Secondly, Shen Yue is affirmed as an active advocate of changing literary writing in Qi and Liang dynasties. His understanding and newly changeable literary view opened up thoroughfare for the coming literature flourish. His theory of the"three simplicities" with great significance and rhyme theory not only criticized obscure poetical style since Jin and Song dynasties, but also put forward clearly innovation view with the core of plain expressions and fluency, Which led the first road for the people in Tang dynasty and had a great historical significance in establishing creation paradigm of Tang poetry. His emotion view which stressed words and feeling provided theoretical basis that poetry change from delicate description to emotional lyricism. Finally, Shen Yue is affirmed as an active practitioner of poetic formal aesthetics in Qi and Liang dynasties from his poetry creation. Shen Yue and Xie Tiao created eight--sentence verse and best improved rhyme theory together in the application of poetry, which laid a solid foundation for the maturation of regulated verse in Tang dynasty. Shen Yue's theoretical contribution and creation proved himself as a key function of changing the poetic style in Qi and Liang dynasties.
