| Language is the carrier and crystal of culture. It has close relationship with culture. We should not only focus on the explanation of the sentences and grammars of the target language in foreign language teaching, but also attach importance to the introduction of its culture knowledge. We must connect language and its culture, or it is impossible for us to totally understand and master this language. How to infiltrate cultural factors into foreign language teaching is one of the issues that most educators have been discussing recently. Many of them have developed effective teaching methods. The paper introduces the relationship between language and culture, their origination, their development, the significance and their functions. It also puts forward some concrete teaching method.
