In the operas by Puccini, the depicting of female image is typical, and has become the most brightest spot in his opera. This paper studies the heroine---Mimi, the protagonist in Puccini's opera Boheme, trying to sum up the artistic features of this woman in details and comprehensively, as well as explore the main means and methods of depicting the image.In the following aspects, does the paper carefully analyse: Puccini and his opera Boheme, the dramatic and music images of Mimi, aesthetic value about the image of Mimi's shaping, and the composer's main means and methods of image's depicting, deeply studing the charm of the image, Mimi. In addition, the text is divided into five main parts: beginning with the opera synopsis, the first part analyses the Boheme's creating background and motive. In the following part, the text will carefully discuss the dramatic and musical images of Mimi. In the aspect of aestheticism in image shaping,the third part sums up the musical and dramatic means of depicting the image of Mimi, which leads to the multi-faceted, dynamic and aesthetic feature, namely, two levels,hence the deeper analysis of Mimi, and reveals the most profound,essential and beautiful image of opera and opera and its enlightenment. Beginning with the musical and dramatic elements of image's depicting, the last part concretely discuss the way how the dramatist and the composer employs various means and methods to shape the nature of the image of Mimi, discover the heroines Mimi's most delicate, meticulous and secretive inner world and his emotion journey of love.It is of great significance to analyse and study the ways and means of shaping the image of opera. This paper states the image shaping of Mimi in Puccini's opera Boheme, forms the inner construction of knowledge for the writer, and promote it to a rational interface, so that the singer can make the image reappearance perfectly while singing.
