Langston Hughes(1902-1967)is generally regarded as the most outstanding black poet among those springing up during the Black Renaissance, and one of the greatest writers in the 20th centuries America. This dissertation will talk about the narrative affirmance of the negro's cultural identity in the Langston Hughes' poems. The dissertation is composed of the following three parts. That is, the introduction, main body and conclusion.Introduction: In this part, we will talk about from the four perspectives, which are the Hughes' biographical summary and his writing, summarizing of the Langston Hughes' domestic research, research method we used, and the innovation. We reveal the background of the Harlem Renaissance, and the Hughes' status in the 20th centuries of American literature. Summarizing of the Langston Hughes' domestic research is divided into from parts which are the Hughes in the development of the world literature,Hughes' poetics, Hughes' art of poem and the motif and image in the Hughes' poems.The main body consists of 4 chapters: The first chapter, deconstructing the white's black cultural identity narrative. Hughes' poems resisted the white's spotting the black image, deconstructed the Uncle Tom image in the white narrative. The essence of the white judgment the black is the result of the white depriving the black's discourse rights. Hughes tried his best to deconstruct the demonized black in the white writing.
