The Cao Cao's image unceasingly changes along with the China historical development. Various history books about Cao Cao's fact record basiclly respect historical evidence, are more or less the same, but because various times author orthodox ideas difference is really big. the historian does not appraise to Cao Cao, regarding historical evidence record emphasis point respectively different, the selection also completely obeys its thought of compiles, even widely picks the unofficial history, the note, the novel and folk Huaben, twistsing and deducting the historical fact. Xijin Dynasty Chen Shou holds to Wei dynasty's orthodoxn status, Wise Cao Cao used the talented person, Established meritorious achievements for the Han dynasty, he is an outstanding and great person in"San Guo Zhi", basically conforms to the historical fact. To Pei Songzhi, holds to Shu dynasty's orthodoxn status, and Pei Songzhi picked the unofficial history, Cao Cao is a deceitful and cruel bully in the"SanGuo Zhi Note", the Cao Cao is a the big robber who usurpsed state's power. Cao Cao becomes a great thief model who usurped a country in"Zi Zhi Tong Jian Gang Mu", so that he can hold the cardinal guides and the constantvirtues, plant the Confucian in the whole society, let the later generation imitate. To the later stage of Yuan dynasty and the beginning of Ming dynasty,"San Guo Yan Yi", is already fill of the historian and folk's Shu dynasty's orthodoxn statu and supports Liu against Cao, the histories in form of biographies, the unofficial histories, the notes, the novels, are melted to a stove, Cao Cao becomes the first deceitful hero in the whole Chinese history.
