Liu Yuxi is a famous writer, philosopher and the statesman in the middle stages of the Tang Dynasty. He repeatedly suffered relegate in his life,But always in high spirit. His fresh and lively poetry of folk song style was unique in Tang Dynasty;His dissertations had unique views and deep thought and were imitated by the subsequents.Most of his inscriptions were writed in his later life and embodied his mature thought and writing skill.But for them the researcher were rare.Taking social and cultural background at that time into comsideration,this paper will make a systemic study on the thought comtent and artistic characteristics of words,combining life experience and individual character of the writer himself.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part introduces Liu Yuxi's thoughts and life experience. The political ideas based on Confucianism, the philosophy ideas based on"the human beings and the God are in win-win situation", the literature ideas based on"the article should has deep thought",all of these made him broad-minded;The second part introduces Lou yuxi's inscriptions and classified them by character.The third part treats Liu yuxi's thoughts of his inscriptions in political,ethical and religion ideas. The fourth part inscribed the artistic feature of Liu yuxi's inscriptions.His inscriptions had bright language and many literary allusions and kept many history information.In brief,Liu yuxi's inscriptions were not pathbreaking,but chasing new and unique in stable.
