Chen Ran as a contemporary representative in writing the private emotion, is far away from the center by the edge person's low key, and devotes all her energy to exploring the living conditions of the weak trend group, whose works are unique both in thinking and in content. Since her creation at the very beginning, the theme of her works was loneliness and she created a huge female world. She described herself as the heroine in her works, taking loneliness as her living energy and living attitude, which has displayed the modern female to own survival principle inquisition and the pursue, through the profound experience and feeling to loneliness. Through reading all of her works we can find that loneliness is the characteristic in the female experiences in the text, and the direct manifestation of the writing and living style. Chen Ran has claimed that the western philosophy and psychoanalysis have a great effect on her and the writing is for the purpose of expressing one kind resistance relations of person and the world and expresses person's survival difficult position. Truly so, her concerning about the personal case is also concerned about human being. By the sensitive feelings and elegant language, she displays the human intrinsic puzzlement and struggling, and unifies closely the literature and the philosophy. Loneliness, as one kind of living state, is the way that she seeks for spiritual home and the way of thinking and understanding for the living philosophy. Chen Ran is feeling loneliness and tasting sadness and will promote loneliness to the level of philosophy during pursuing the human ultimate significance on the way.This article attempts to take her novel as an example to analysis all kinds of vivid loneliness presenting in her novel by analyzing the content of her novel and the characters. The article also tries to dig out the social source of loneliness and the feeling loneliness.
