Letter and visual image are different media. Fiction is recomposed to film and TV plays, that is, letter art is transformed into seeing and hearing art.Different film and TV versions of novels written by Jin Yong appeared since they were shown on the screen in the 1950s. Nowadays, they regain the social attention owing to the reproduction.Taking film and TV plays by Jin Yong since the 1990s for the example, this thesis elaborates on the course of recomposition from novels to film and TV plays, analyses the difference between these two forms, and explains the difference between the transformed versions according to different regions and individuals. At last, this thesis presents the reasons for the differences from the angle of market and the people. In fact, the recomposition of film and TV plays of Jin Yong since the 1990s is the reflection of visual art between literature, society, and times. The course of recomposition is to modify and widen the original novels, which makes the original content and connotation rich and provides the new angle to understand the original novels for the audience.
