The globalization of Chinese cinemas in the international market and the rapid rise of research of Chinese cinemas in Western academic,make it more urgent to study Chinese cinemas which is an interdisciplinary,cross-cultural exploration.Since the 1990s,"Chinese-language films" as an extension of "Chinese cinemas",reappears rapidly by an integrity cultural phenomenon and expands unceasingly in the transnational background.Correspondingly,Chinese-language films as a new research area,receives more regard day by day.Because of these overseas Chinese Critics' special status(in western atmosphere),they are different from the domestic researchers in perspective and standpoint,so they can give new reference and thinking mode to the domestic researchers,to promote the Chinese-language Films Studies by communicating with each other.In this paper,I focus on three cross-Cultural Critical Modes of Chinese-language Film Studies of Overseas Chinese Critics,that are "post-colonial criticism","criticism of transnational Chinese Cinema","criticism of communication",I aim at investigating the complex and indistinct research orientation of overseas Chinese scholar through analysis of their Critical Modes,and from this standpoint I study their Value Standpoint and Theoretical Problems about Chinese literature and culture studies in the 20th century.And the development process of cross-Cultural Critical Modes of oversea Chinese-Language study fully show the cross swords and contest of discourse right between China and the West,and the emergence and change of oversea Chinese scholar's identity consciousness also demonstrate that academic studies of humanities in western subject construct.And of course,Chinese-language films study as one of Chinese literature and culture studies in the 20th century,the development process of their Critical Modes is just one epitome of generalized "China Studies" in contemporary western actual situation.This paper reviews and summarizes the cross-cultural critical modes and their difference and association,aims at investigating how to realize the effective cross-cultural criticism in Chinese language films research area under the globalization tide,and forecasts the new space in research of Chinese-language films.
