In the late Qing Dynasty, there were a large number of Japanese in China who left a substantial number of travel notes, these documentary notes to the late Qing Dynasty of China in the form of community which carried out a detailed record of understanding of modern Chinese society was a group of more precious materials, but has not yet been fully exploited. In travel notes, they recorded: in the late Qing Dynasty, society was instable, bad arms; Qing government was confused for reform and development direction;city commercy is prosperious but lack of municipal construction and management; Political elite do not care about social change.Under the influence of Japanese inherent dream of a great power and the changes of the international status of modern China and Japan, these Chinese impression turnned into Japanese "China concept" in the late Qing Dynasty. The formation of "China view" had three major characteristics: involving many areas, and the cumbersome; re-spot investigations; misunderstanding, prejudice more emotional and irrational intertwined. However,when this "China concept" had formed ,it played a very important role in the Sino-Japanese relations and the course of exchanges in the late Qing Dynasty. First of all, providing intelligence to Japan or some travelers becoming into politicians,so it took a direct impact on the Sino-Japanese political developments; Second, the "impression of China" promoted the Sino-Japanese in-depth exchange, deeply affected the Japanese public opinion; Finally, the "impression of China" made the course of "Oriental History" and china study arise.
