"The artistry"and"the female consciousness"are indispensable for women's poetry. But there are two main problems in the current criticism of women's poetry: one is the neglect of the noumenon of poem, the other is the lost of sensibility of life as the base of the criticism. The former is shown when the critic neglects the artistry of poetry and advocates the female consciousness; The latter is shown when the critic uses the poetical theory following his inclination, excessive explanation losing contact with the reality of text, and abstract and obscure expression of academicism, instead of concrete perception of life in the poem, clear poetical understanding and basic aesthetic judgement.Beginning with the examination of criticism of women's poetry, this thesis intends to set in the explanation of Zhai Yongming's poetry up an effective critical way which is based on the consciousness of the poetical noumenon, and on the perceptible reading, combining the female consciousness with the artistry of poetry. Thus appraises the value and significance of Zhai Yongming's poetry, and ponders"the feminine poetry"in a broader field of vision. The body of the thesis is divided into 3 parts: the first and second parts are focused on the group poems and the long poem which represent the highest level of Zhai Yongming's"feminine poetry", to show the combination of"poetry"and"thought"in her poetry. The first, it analyses the expression way which is connected closely with the women's life and experience and the female consciousness, how to make an unique tension in the poem; The second, it points out that and create a fable writing way of"feminine poetry"like a"dark night"/"dark hole", to realize the poetic speaking and thinking of something untold. The third part of the body of the thesis is concentrated on the whole creation of Zhai Yongming. Beginning with the analysis of impetus of her creation, structure, language, and rhetorical tactic, it makes a study and consideration on the whole to the blending and conflict of"poem"and"thought". The importance is to point out the limitation and insufficiency of her poetry (esp. the later stage) in the art form, which is usually neglected by critics.
