Movie language means visual and aural language. To a movie creator, how to use visual and aural language well is the foundation of making a good movie. Visual and aural language, as an art skill, does not have national characteristic in itself. But when we combine a certain visual and aural language to a certain movie content, it will have its own individual traits---- national characteristic. How to deduct the peculiarity of one's own national culture and put it use into movies , and how to use the language of someone else's while not giving up their own language at the same time are the main idea of the thesis. The thesis explained special cultural meaning of the pictures and sounds in Tibetan movies by using the theory of color psychology, movie psychology, semeiology of movie language and the study of art. And also put forward some advice for the deficiencies in using visual and aural elements in Tibetan movies. The thesis could be divided into three parts. The first part is introduction, mainly introduced the present study, study aim, significance and study methods of using visual and aural elements in Tibetan movies. The second part is the main part of this thesis: in chapter one, I analyzed the elements of visual and aural which applied in Tibetan movies, from this I discussed the special visual language which is specially used in Tibetan movies; in chapter two I analyzed the aural elements which applied in Tibetan movies, from this I discussed the special aural language in Tibetan movies; the third chapter discussed the development of the element of visual and aural in Tibetan movies, from this I proposed deficiencies in visual and aural elements in Tibetan movies and I also gave some good advice for further development of Tibetan movies. The third part is peroration of this thesis, which suggested that we can only make valuable and creative Tibetan movies by combining new visual and aural languages with folklore, religion and realities and presenting the special culture of nationalities.
