The Study Of GU WANG YAN

Gu Wang Yan is called a wonderful lengthy novel because of its rich thought connotation and bright artistic feature in narration. This article tries to make a more comprehensive, systematic, thorough and careful analysis in terms of thought implication, characterization and narrative art and to expose its unique creation characteristics so as to understand and grasp the latent connotation of the novel.The full thesis is divided into three parts. The first part, the preface, outlines briefly the basic situation, the present study and the limitations about the novel Gu Wang Yan.The second part consists of three chapters. The first chapter, the thought connotation of Gu Wang Yan, analyzes in detail the work nature of Gu Wang Yan from four aspects to it. First, the thesis explores and studies the creation theme of "view on taking advantage of obsceneness" about the work with the expectation of grasping this work in general. Then, it analyzes the political and historical conception existing objectively in the novel, mainly criticized and exposed objects as well as the sexual description which is widely discussed and differently analyzed.The second chapter discusses the characters in the novel. Gu Wang Yan molds numerous characters, who involve every field of the society at the end of Ming dynasty. This chapter analyzes each kind of the important personage image in the way of using the classification to take the spot and fanning out from point to area. This method analyzes both the common characteristics which each kind of character representative has, and pays great attention to developing its unique individuality characteristics. Thus, it is hoped that each kind of image system and the important character representatives can be evaluated objectively and fairly.The third chapter, narration art of the novel, makes a careful discussion and analysis about the narration structure, the narration perspective and the narration language from the angle of narration, and points out the characteristics and the value of the novel's narration art.The third part, the conclusion, summarizes the full thesis, indicates the value of the research.The study method of this thesis has both the overall assurance macroscopically and specific and careful analysis microscopically; has both the crosswise expansion and the longitudinal development; has both point deduction and the surface summary. With historical viewpoint and modern science method, based on administrative levels, multiple perspectives, rigorous meticulous, the thesis analyzes the novel Gu Wang Yan in an effort of objectiveness, fairness, accurateness and completeness so that this ancient and young work can draw further attention from the academic world.
