Wang,yangming(1472-1529) was a great philosopher educationist and militarist in Ming Dynasty. His ideas of literature, which was deeply affected by his thought of Innate knowledge,consists of three parts.These are as the following:literature works is determined by Ethics;words are the voices of the mind; the form of works should be plain.On the different stages of hia life,the proses of Wang's were different in the terms of content and form.Thus from the three aspects:Wang's life,Wang's association with other writers,and Wang's thoughts,it is concluded that the milestone of his proses writing was at A.D.1506.The artistic characteristics of Wang's proses in the first stage are as the following: the style of works was classical;the usage of description was in huge quantities. And in the second stage,the artistic characteristics of Wang's proses are concluded as the following:the style of writing was natural and simple; the usage of description was of no wonder;metaphor and parallelism in Wang's proses were so well used.The overall artistic characteristic of Wang's proses is the co-existence of sense and sensibility. In Wang's proses,there are three images of Wang's himself:the brave man,the hemit,the kind man.
