The Outline Of Traffic Inscriptions In Gansu

As a unique form of Chinese culture, the inscription materials provide valuable historical data to the study of history. The ancient Silk Road almost crossed through the whole Gansu Province,and this section is very long and important for the Silk Road.The ancient people left a large number of literature when they had made a new bridge or a new road, and they always carved monumental inscriptions for commemoration.These monumental inscriptions of zhe Gansu belonging to local traffic inscriptions, covering Gansu political, economic, military and cultural, and so on.they have distinct characteristics of the times and historical data, calligraphing artistic value, researching on the history books, the history of political funding is of great significance .Although these monumental inscriptions are the local stele carving,they have great historical research value for ancient Chinese politics,economy,culture and social life.This artical introduced the monumental inscriptions about transportation of Gansu.In order to make the researchers realize the value of these monumental inscriptions,the author analysed and summarized a lot about the inscriptions from the road traffic, the mountain pass defile, the bridge plank road as well as the ecological protection or trade-overview and so on, all of them were also reflected from these inscriptions.
