Taking"canonization"of texts as a key angle, this paper discusses experience and lessons of the contemporary literature and pursues the unique value of"canonization"in constructing the history of the contemporary literature from the dimension of history perspective.Chinese contemporary literature has passed the journey of near 60 years. However, comparing with the histories of Chinese ancient literature and modern literature, constructing the history of Chinese contemporary literature is relatively weak in fact. Several causes lead to the present situation: having not"classics"or"insufficient canonization"in the contemporary literature is the important reason which has become a restriction of constructing the contemporary literature. In this dissertation, I will use the combination of macro research and case studies of literature to study "canonization" of texts and the construction of the history of Chinese contemporary literature. There are three parts here:Firstly, the paper makes several concepts more clear, such as classics, "canonization" and other related ones and explains their valuable meaning in constructing the contemporary literature; Secondly, the paper explains the experience and lessons of"canonization"and its corresponding countermeasures in the contemporary literature; Thirdly, the paper pursues the specific texts and phenomenon of the contemporary literature and discusses the possibility of constructing the contemporary literature in order to offer effective theories and practices for and constructing and writing the history of the contemporary literature. In this paper, we think that we profoundly pursue the construction of the history of the contemporary literature from the perspective "canonization" of texts and the research prospect is wide, and we also believe that it has positive significance to constructing the history of the contemporary literature and the system of the contemporary literature.
