A Research On The Early Renovation Ideology Of Tang Shouqian

Tang Shouqian was a famous people in modern history of China. Facing with the crisis of Qing Dynasty, he made much suggestion and did his best to help the country. In recent years the research of Tang Shouqian acquirs great progress. This thesis is supposed to make some contribution to this research.This thesis consists of three parts, the evolution, the content, the characteristic of Tang Shouqian's renovation ideology. The author thinks that Tang Shouqian as a Chinese traditional Confucian scholar adopted the modern western thoughts, which is the main focus in our discussion. We also finds that Tang Shouqian was not the toppest thinker in the modern history of China, whose influence on today isn't so huge as we expect. But Tang Shouqian had strong sincere feeling for his country. He was always keen to devote his all to the country. Tang Shouqian was an outstanding thinker undoubtedly in modern history of China.What's more, we make several investigations into the career of Tang Shouqian and some errores in The Historical Material about Tang Shouqian have been corrected.
