The Study On The Historical Poems By Hu Zeng

Hu Zeng is a poet in Late Tang Dynasty.There are 162 of his poems have been remained until now,among that 150 poems are historical poems.But essentials of Siku Cunmu doesn't make so high a comment on him,as well as later scholars.However Hu Zeng's historical poems are very popular and widely used by orating artists and historical stories writers.In Yuan dynasty these poems were required as enlightenment school teaching material to popularize historical knowledge and enhance traditional enlightenment teaching.In addition the poetic style of Song dynasty was deeply influenced by Hu Zeng's poems.By taking the prosperity of historical poems in Tang dynasty and the poor and weak Tang society as the background,the author strives to have a study on the historical poems by Hu Zeng.The first chapter of the paper explores the prosperity of historical poems in Tang dynasty and its cultural motivation;the second and the third chapters individually studies the orientation of theme and the special qualities of writing of Hu Zeng's historical poems so as to find out the outstanding features of his poems in these two sides;the fourth chapter studies the influence of Hu Zeng's historical poems on enlightenment school teaching,orating scripts and historical stories so as to show its charm and value for its widely spreading.
