Study On Mongol Riddle From The Point Of Folk-Custom's View

This thesis consists of six components. They are namely introduction, folk-custom reflection on creating riddle, custom of reading riddle,social function of Mongol riddle,conclusion and bibliography.In first chapter, the folk-custom reflection on creating riddle is mainly studied. There are four parts in first chapter: riddles about horse, riddles about yurta, riddles about "Huhur" and riddles about "Shaa".In second chapter, generalized the custom of reading riddle into two parts; "inquiry" and "admonishment" . In "inquiry", people ask related questions about about the riddle in order to get the right answer. In "admonishment" , people say some troditioanal humorous words to the person who is not good at reading the riddles so that they want to encourage the person who knows less riddles, instead blaming.In third chapter, mainly studied the social function of Mongol riddle. To generalized the function into three kinds. They are namely function of recreation , function of intelligence development and function of raising interest.
