Each independent text in"Peter Pan Series"of J. M. Barrie (UK, 1860-1937) focuses on the theme of"a boy who never grows up". This paper is a study of"Peter Pan Series"in light of Existentialism. Barrie's"Peter Pan Series"is not existentialism philosophical works, but they are descriptions on specific existence, and make a unique analysis of the existence. The main parts of this thesis re-read Barrie's fairy tale world takes existence as a basis. Compared with the folk fairy tales, Barrie's works are more concerned about the role of self-identity and the characteristics of independent self-identity. In his fairy-tales Barrie has demonstrated an anxiety hidden in the spiritual world. The Series reveal that modern civilization has brought panic to human. Peter Pan's adventures are challenges of life. Peter's free choice in the absurd real world, and the spirit of the game is the liberation road of self-relief for modern people.
