Research Of Classifiers In Sanyan

The collection of three novels Yushimingyan,Jingshitongyan and Xingshihengyan was called "Sanyan".It was consiced by Feng Menglong from novels written in Song,Yuan and Ming Dynasties.This thesis has four goals:1.Discribe all the classifiers in Sanyan.2.Make a statistic of classifiers according to their categories. 3.Get the conclusion on the basis of discription and statistition.4.Compare Sanyan's classifiers with those in other texts.This thesis is composed of four parts:1.Give a of description of research of classifiers in twentieth centry and the research of Sanyan.Give the goal,meaning and research methods of this thesis.2.Describe all the classifiers in Sanyan.All the classifiers in Sanyan are divided into two categories:noun-classifies and verb-classifies.Noun-classifies are divided into three sub-categories:measure classifiers,nature classifiers and untypical noun classifiers.Verb classifes are divided into two categories: typical verb categories and untypical verb categories.In each categories,all the classifiers was listed and explained.The number of classfies was counted and examples were listed.Some classifiers which can refer to different kinds of nouns,such as "Ge",which can refer to not only people but also things,was divided into several categories and given examples.3.Statistics and analysis.List the number of classifiers according to their subcategories and list all the classifiers in Sanyan.Get the conlclusion on the basis of research all the classifiers in Sanyan.The number of classifiers in Sanyan is huge and the frequency of classifiers is high.That is to say:the development of classifiers is mature in Ming Dynasty.In this part of thesis, analysis was made concisely to the following three grammar phenomenon:the double-slyble classifiers,the grammar meaning of double-used classifiers and the meaning of claasifies in front of people.4.Comparism.In this part,those classifiers in Sanyan will be compared with those in other texts in Ming Dynasty.Examples were give that classifiers "Mei" and "Ge" can definite different thins in Weijin,Tang,Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Examples were also listed to prove some conclusions in the dissertation "Classsifies in 60 songs in Ming Dynasty".
