Yiyang is located in north-central Hunan. Yiyang dialect and Changsha dialect have always been attributed to the same sub-dialects, as the representative of Hunan dialect of the language. On the basis of field research, this study mainly focuses on a description of Yiyang dialect preposition systems and related structure, and compares with Yiyang dialect and standard spoken Chinese from the synchronic and diachronic perspective, has further promulgated the Yiyang dialect preposition system and the characteristics of the related structure. Moreover, there are some prepositions which have "disposition" and "passive" meanings in the dialect; this paper carries on the quite thorough discussion to these two significances of one preposition.The paper consists of five parts.Chapterâ… is the introduction, simply introduces the general conditions of Yiyang, such as geography and history; describing the background, the purpose and the necessity, and the methods of the paper.Chapterâ…¡introduces the preposition system of Yiyang dialect. Discusses similarities and differences of the Yiyang dialect preposition and the standard spoken Chinese preposition, and has carried on the description to some important prepositions. Chapterâ…¢describes some "passive" prepositions and related structure of Yiyang dialect. Introduces the characteristics of the "passive" structure in Yiyang dialect, emphatically describes Zhe-Construction and Ba-Construction.Chapterâ…£describes some "disposal" prepositions and related structure of Yiyang dialect. Emphatically discusses Zhuo-Construction and Ba-Construction.Chapterâ…¤discusses the two grammatical meanings of Ba-Construction, disposal and passive. Firstly, lists the examples which both have disposal and passives meanings in every dialect. Then calls the turn to begin with the verb meaning of "ba" in every dialect from the history perspective, and demonstrates the original of "ba1" , and based on "ba" acted as the "give" verb and "passive" phenomenon in the modern vernacular dates to carry on the quite thorough discussion.
