The Research Of Sculpture In College Campus

With the coming of knowledge economy, the development of universities or colleges and its environment, sculpture, etc become the focus of attention. The research paper is directed at some existing problems of today's college sculptures, as well as provides the personal views and suggestions towards it.The paper is divided into eight sections through raising, analyzing and solving questions respectively. The main contents are as following:The first section: to introduce the background information, study purposes as well as its contents and different approaches applied in paper.The second section: to give a brief account of sculpture design, analyzing some sculpture works and its definitions, features, at the same time, bringing up the some designing conception.The third section: to briefly relate the meaning, division of colleges as well as the concept, environment, culture and its relationship between college environment and college culture.The fourth section: to introduce the meaning and division of sculpture designs in campus and the relation between it and college culture, campus environment as well as modern designs.The fifth section: to search and analyze sculpture designs in different universities and colleges of Xi'an, summarizing the problems and its shortcomings.The sixth section: to introduce the principles and study ways used in paper. The author believes that the designing should obey the following principles and rules: ecology, human nature, space, conformity, culture and creativity, etc. The process includes: researching, selecting subject, place-choosing, modeling, material-designing, color-planning etc.The seventh section: to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of some sculpture designs in Xingqing campus of Xi'an jiaotong university.The eighth section: to apply the principles and approaches into practice by designing sculpture works in the new campus of Shaanxi University of technology.The last section: conclusion.
