Abstract/Summary:
The change of social life and custom culture in Tumed area , Ming Dynasty is related closely to immigration in this historical era . To some sense , immigration activity is the main cause of the change of social life and custom culture . Because of chaos of war , disaster and organised population plunder , a great deal of inland people especially from Shanxi and Hebei , are immigrated deliberately or un deliberately to Tumed area during the Ming dynasty.Immigration of inland Han nationality especially from Shanxi brought matured techniques such as agriculture , texture and constructure to the Tumed area . The change of Tumed area's economic pattern gave rise to the transition of social structure .With the change of economic pattern , formation of new social organization and thriving of cities , greate changes has taken place in the social stratum and all the relationships . With the changes of economic basis and social structure , folklore culture that guided and standardised the masses'live style and behaviours had taken place significant changes , too. Folklore culture that was folk - culture , permeated in grass-roots unit and affected the masses , expressed the area's cultural unique characters and ethnic spirit in different ways . The change of social customs in the Tumed area , Ming dynasty , appears specifically in diet , costumes , dwellings , wedding & funeral and religion etc...
