On Feasibility Of The Inheritance Of Local Music Culture In Musical Education In The Schools

In recent years, the inheritance of traditional music in the school education has become a common concern in the field of musical education. However, in a province with rich cultural traditions of folk music, this type of study is still rare. Based on the teaching conditions of Henan Opera——the representative traditional musical culture of Henan Province in ordinary schools, this paper selects 10 middle schools'teaching conditions in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and tries to find and summarize the teaching experience of Henan Opera and the problems that exist in those 10 middle schools. Accordingly, from the perspective of educational anthropology, this paper raises a discussion on the functions of cultural inheritance of musical education in the schools, on the relationship between cultural diversity and the local music culture, and the relationship between musical education in the schools and social culture and so forth. At the same time, the study of feasibility of the local music culture in school education is included. On the basis of practice and theory, some feasible suggestions of the inheritance of local music culture in the schools are put forward.The introduction includes the proposing of the issue, the establishment of this study object, the research methods and the current situation of this issue. Through arranging Henan's traditional music literature in the first chapter, the research provides an overview of cultural background and educational background of the music. Chapter 2 mainly introduces the investigation and result of the inheritance of Henan Opera in the 10 middle schools in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and sums up experience of inheriting Henan Opera in the 10 schools and the problems encountered in this process. In Chapter Three, through the concept of functions of culture which is included in ethnology , the concept of"Cultural Enculturation", "Cultural Acquisition" of educational anthropology, the concept of cultural inheritance is understood .At the same time this part describes the role school education has played in the cultural inheritance of traditional music , the relationship between local music culture and traditional music culture and the concern for this issue at home and abroad. All those above provides necessary theoretical basis for the inheritance of local music culture in the school education. Taking the cultural inheritance of Henan Opera in the 10 schools as an example, this chapter comes to the conclusion and provides the necessary exposition of the feasibility of inheritance of local music culture in the school education. In addition, this chapter puts forward several suggestions on the inheritance of local music in the school education. Finally, the writer sums up the whole thesis and points out that school education must take the responsibility of inheriting the local music, and musical education in the schools must be rooted in the soil of the local music culture.
