The thesis is a special study WenLi that is about the content and arrangment on the first-period of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells. The study approach by historic stages is good ang new thinking for the research. The thesis totally is ten chapters. The chapter one is the types of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells and the statistical analysis of the types of inscriptions about the whole tortoise shells. The chapter two, three four and five mainly focus on several types inscriptions, including SymmetryInscriptions,Repeated-Symmetry-inscriptions,Repeated-inscriptions,.Elective -inscriptions and Compensated-inscriptions, which are the higher proportion of inscriptions. The chapter six studys not only the distinction and contact among these styles of Inscriptions, wich are Three-times-inscriptions, Triangle-relationship-inscriptions and Triangle-arranged-inscriptions, but aslo further their study respectively. The chapter seven mainly researches the relationship between carve-position and inscriptions. The chapter eight is the applied study on the former achievements in Wenli. The chapter nine mainly studies Wenli and the culture of Yinshang dynasty and reveals the divination rules, the thinking mode and style in the period-Wuding and the psychology of aesthetic. The Chapter ten suggests the impact of Wenli in the first-period of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells on the following centuries after Yinshang dynasty, espically proved the similarity relationship between the Three-times-inscriptions, and the Six-times-inscriptions. and the Eight-Gua and the Sixty-four-Gua in the Classical Zhouyi. The last part, the thesis summarized the inventive ideas and some controversial questions.
