On Irrational Factors In The Formation Of Individual Value Idea

Commonly, value idea is the basic viewpoints that people have on values, including inclinations,propositions and attitudes. These inclinations,propositions and attitudes form a system of standards by which people in real life can evaluate,judge and accept or reject the significance of all community life practice. During individual value idea forming process, people will be subjected to interaction of various factors in that irrational factor is a very important aspect. The thesis takes the dominant position of the rational as prerequisite and adopt Marxist philosophy as a starting point to search the positive and negative effect of irrational factors during individual value idea forming process. On this basis, it tries to find a reasonable way to guide irrationality and build scientific value idea to suit to contemporary Chinese socialism.The first part of the thesis discusses the irrational factors of the individual value idea forming. Firstly, the thesis discusses the meaning and the formation process of the individual value idea, and describes the formation of individual value idea and influence factors from the perspective of social value idea. Secondly, the thesis defines the concept of irrationality and analyzes its characteristics, and tries to get a more clear picture of dialectical relationship between rationality and irrationality and analyzes the specific contents and characteristics of some irrational factors, including desires, needs, emotions, feelings, volitions, faith and belief. This part supports the following two parts as necessarily basic theory.In the second part of the thesis, the role of irrational factors in the formation of individual value idea is discussed. On the one hand, it discusses the positive effect of irrational factors in the formation of individual value idea from the aspects of desires, needs, emotions, feelings, volitions, faith and belief. On the other hand, it points out that these factors often play a negative role when they are completely separated from the rationality. the one-sidedness,blindness and contingent of irrational factors in the individual value idea forming process plays a impeditive role in forming correct value idea.The third part of the thesis expounds the question of using irrational factors in building contemporary Chinese value idea. In contemporary Chinese society, the negative effects of irrational factors are very serious, having their specific performances. How to use irrational factors, inhibit its negative effects, play its positive impact and build socialist new era scientific value idea, this have become an extremely important task for us. We need to take different solutions to different irrational factors so that we could transform the negative effect of irrationality to the positive effects and use irrational factors rationally to promote value idea education.The formation of individual value idea is a very complex process, influenced by rational and irrational factors. Therefore, in order to form a reasonable value idea, rationality and irrationality should be unified dialectically. Developing the useful and discard the useless of irrational factors in individual value idea formation, we must coordinate rational and irrational factors seriously on the basis of practice. Treating irrational factors, we must let ourselves to have a serious and scientific attitude so that it can play the most active and creative role in practice and promote the realization of scientific value idea. Of course, developing the useful and discard the useless of irrational factors is an endless dynamic process. As we know, China now is in a period of rapid social transformation and development, and people must change and adjust their value ideas accordingly and frequently. As a result, we can predict, the irrational factors in individual value idea formation will continually have their fluctuations and make their impacts on the perfections and developments of contemporary Chinese value ideas, calling for our enough attentions and close investigations.It should be pointed out, the individual value idea discussed in this thesis is not a specific issue of personal value idea, but the abstract or general individual value idea construction issue in the social life, or the individual value idea building issue from social dimension. Therefore, the thesis mainly discusses the influence and effect of irrational factors in individual value idea construction from the whole social value idea construction perspective. On the other hand, the thesis also believes that by contrast controlling and using irrational factors in the individual value idea formation and strengthening ideological and political education work to person and improving its efficiency is the only way to finally implement the purpose and significance of whole socialistic value idea.
